We hope this message finds you well and enjoying the beauty of our desert spring. We're writing with a few updates from the Joshua Tree Highlands
Association and two important dates we'd love you to mark on your calendar.
Two Meetings This Year – Save the Dates
We're holding two annual meetings this year to make it easier for everyone to participate:
In-Person Meeting – Sunday, April 26th Time: 3:00 PM PT Location: 8855 Neva Rd. We'll
cover a brief agenda of association business — road conditions, finances, and plans for the year ahead — followed by time to connect with your neighbors, share snacks and refreshments, and enjoy the company of the people who make this community what it is. Parking is limited so we encourage walking or carpooling. Virtual Meeting – Sunday, May 31st Time: 11 AM PT via Zoom This meeting will include our annual board elections, so we encourage everyone to attend — including those who join us in April. Details on how to connect, and how to nominate yourself or someone else for the board, will follow as the date approaches.
Contributions Update – Thank You, and We Still Need Your Help
Since our January appeal, 32 neighbors have contributed a total of $5,940 toward road maintenance this year. We're grateful for every dollar — it goes directly to keeping our shared roads safe and passable.
To put that in perspective, contributing households currently represent roughly 19% of the owners and residents in the Highlands. Our roads serve all of us, and the more neighbors who participate, the more sustainable and effective our maintenance efforts become. If you haven't had a chance to contribute yet, we'd appreciate your support at whatever level works for you:
Standard Contributor: $100–150
Enhanced Contributor: $200–300
Neighborhood Champion: $400–500+
